Blog feedback and learner response

WWW: This is very concerning and to be honest the main positive we can take from this is that it’s still early in the course and you can turn this around. Ultimately, this is a harsh lesson in organisation and workload – currently, you’re not organised and you’re not putting in enough work. As we’ve made very clear, there is a lot of work to do at A Level and you need to commit at least five hours of homework per week to each subject/option block. My guess is that currently you’re not doing anywhere near this and that’s why the work is missing. Use this as an opportunity to catch up and keep up from now on.

EBI: Very simple here – you need to post the missing and unfinished work. For my side of the course there is only an unfinished Semiotics post – nothing else. It’s vital that you use this feedback to get organised, post work to the right blog, get everything up to date and then keep on top of the workload from now on. In the one piece of work you have posted, you need to improve your attention to detail as you have written ‘death’ instead of ‘deaf’ for the questions on the English short film.

LR: Complete any missing or unfinished work.

Then, create a blogpost on your Media 1 Exam blog called ‘Blog feedback and learner response’, copy this feedback in and then complete the following learner response:

Reflect on your work in A Level Media so far.

What is your strongest piece of work?

mise-en-scene recreation practical task

What is your weakest?

my media consumption task

What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

skills to analyse the different aspects of media such as `clamps`
